Our Goals:

  • Our goal is to promote rapid identification and development of new, innovative treatments for Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy that will modify or eradicate the disease. To do this, the Wittek Foundation will support scientific and medical research through research grants issued to academic researchers. Grants are issued after a rigorous application process and reviewed by a scientific advisory board (SAB), consisting of HCM scientific and medical experts.

  • To conduct educational seminars and conferences that focus on outstanding current scientific and medical issues in HCM treatment for the HCM research community and medical trainees. Patients, caregivers, and members of the public are invited and can access educational information.

  • Bringing all relevant parties together (academic investigators - industry - government regulatory agencies (FDA, CMC, etc) to create policies designed specifically to accelerate development of new HCM treatments

  • To encourage broader HCM disease understanding and treatment in underserved and underrepresented populations
